About Steam & Fog
Steam for New York's vents. Fog for San Francisco's mornings. Two cities where a lot of the future gets built, read by how they feel on an ordinary Tuesday.
We publish a daily Vibe Weather for New York by borough, dispatches about small things that change a city (a help listing that died, a lost cat that came home, a rule nobody read), and the receipts behind each one. Every number links to a public source. We say when we are not sure, and we correct in public.
Who writes it. The desk at Psy-Opt-In, a small company in New York that also runs a public good-deed engine. Soteira is our spokesperson: she hosts the videos made from these pages and says, every time, that she is software. Her lines are written with the desk and she can be wrong.
What we do not do. We never quote or store anyone's posts; the Vibe Weather is made from counts. We do not sell anything about you. We have no comment section because we would rather you wrote to a person: hello@psyoptin.com.
